I know I always say this, but I’ve been BAD! I definitely need to work on giving you more fun material to read. Summer is just around the corner, here are my picks for June!
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers: I’ve worn foundation for most of my life, but as of a year ago, I tried tinted moisturizer. My skin is fairly oily and has been acne prone in the past (makeup does wonders), and I always steered clear of tinted moisturizers because I was under the impression they wouldn’t give me enough coverage. Boy, was I WRONG! Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Glow Sheers are absolutely amazing. Honestly, I’ve repurchased this product 5-6 times and can’t get enough of it. If I had to recommend a great tinted moisturizer, this would be it. It has light to medium coverage, is very light weight, gives the skin a healthy glow, keeps me moisturized AND it has an SPF 30! What more can a girl ask for? Now, for my fellow Canadians, unfortunately Neutrogena makeup is not sold in Canada. However, you can order it online or for anyone living near a border, you can find it at Target.
MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Blush ”Gentle”: Have we talked about how obsessed I am with all MAC Mineralize products? Add another one to the pile. Mineralize Blush in “Gentle” is TO-DIE-FOR. It’s this shimmery, mauvey, pink shade that looks stunning on virtually every skin tone, if blended properly. For fair skin, I would recommend using a very light hand when applying this product and blending it out as much as you can. I especially love it on dark skin. In fact, if you are a dark skinned beauty, please do us both a favor and go grab this product – You will LOVE it.
Joe Fresh Lip Tint: Nothing quite like having an effortless, all day, “bitten” look to the lips. I’ve tried my fair share of lip stains and tints and have so many favorites. But, currently, I am loving Joe Fresh’s Lip Tints. They are great and come in 6 gorgeous shades. The applicator is a sponge tip which makes the application process super easy and tidy. The shade I’m currently rocking is “Bubble Gum”. It’s a super bright, almost neon pink shade. Reminds me of Barbie and I love it. I normally apply this at 8AM when I’m getting ready for work, and it lasts me easily until 3PM – EVEN through my daily munching and coffee binges. What I love about this product is that it applies just dark enough so that it’s visible, but still maintains a natural look. In Canada, Joe Fresh is available at Superstore.
L’Oreal Paris La Couleur Infallible 24HR Eyeshadow: Every once in awhile, I find a drugstore product that completely blows department store products out of the water. These little guys are no exception. Now, although they say 24HR eyeshadow, and though it may be true, as a makeup artist, I just habitually apply an eyeshadow base or primer beforehand. L’Oreal’s La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows are a packed, loose powder form. Not solid enough to be considered a solid eyeshadow, not loose enough to be considered a pigment or loose eyeshadow. They are what happens when a solid eyeshadow and a loose pigment meet, fall in love, and make a beautiful, long lasting, highly pigmented baby. The payoff of these is absolutely amazing, and I find them to be extremely glamorous. Glamorous. I think that’s the perfect word to describe them.
OPI Nail Polish “Care To Danse”: If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you will know exactly how I feel about OPI “Care To Danse”. I’ve exhausted this nail polish shade over the last month or so. There are just so many cute things you can do with it. This pale lilac shade is just perfection on the fingertips. It’s part of OPI’s Spring 2012 NYC Ballet Soft Shades Collection. The shade itself is super delicate, soft, and almost dreamy. It applies quite sheer, so I make sure to layer 2-3 coats. I love to wear it alone or with sparkley glitter nail polishes on the very tips of my nails. Check out The Beauty Vault on Facebook for “Care To Danse” with a glittery twist.
That’s all for this month’s lusts. I’ve already started eyeing a few products for next month! Here’s a hint: The best top coat you will EVER use, pinky swear. ;)
Have an awesome week, beauties!
