CoverGirl’s “Amethyst” started it all. This was the first lipstick I ever owned at age 5. The snapshot to the top left is the result of what happens when a mother lets her daughter go through her makeup drawer for the first time in the 90’s (and faces the consequence of never seeing those products again. Believe me, I cleaned her out). The metallic purple lipstick, blue eyeshadow, and pink blush combo was totally the “look” at the time. Fab, right? That was the day that changed everything. I was officially a woman of the world!

The Beauty Vault is your new makeup haven. Here, you will learn all of my beauty secrets. Each week, The Beauty Vault will feature new products reviews, budget buys, how-to’s, tips & tricks and answers to your questions on all things beauty. And, of course, my ramblings about things I’m currently obsessing over.
For those of you who don’t know who I am, my name is Irina – I’m a Vancouver, BC based professional makeup artist and proud product junkie. I have a marketing and product development background in cosmetics. I’ve been in the industry for about 5 years now at freelance, retail and corporate levels. Makeup artistry is my passion, and I couldn’t be more blessed to be able to do what I love. I don’t think makeup defines beauty. Every single person has something unique and beautiful about them, makeup just enhances those natural features. And, let’s be honest, it’s FUN. I’ve been wanting to write The Beauty Vault for a few years now, I just never found the time to really sit down and collect all my mad ideas. For anyone who was starting to lose hope in this site ever launching, you’ve lived to see the day! Thank you for your patience and encouragement. I’ve spent hours on end designing, editing, and perfecting all of my own material so that it’s visually appealing and easy to navigate. Slowly, but surely, I will create posts catering to all of your beauty needs. You can count on me to always give my honest opinion, and answer any questions you may have. If The Beauty Vault helps you learn even ONE new thing, my job is done. Thank you very much for visiting and enjoy!
